Ballooniverse has been an underlying passion for Angela Bachert. Balloons seem to have a magic about them. They bring out the emotions in people. After realizing this passion Angela felt there was more to balloons the just the helium balloon cluster tied to a string. After some extensive research Angela attended a Balloon Decorating course in Tampa Florida where she truly learned the art of balloon decorating, creating columns, topiaries, centerpieces, arches dance floors , sculptures and swans.

There are many applications that balloons add a wow effect to. They are used for showrooms, special events, corporate functions, open houses, conferences, weddings, retirement parties, and fundraising just to name a few.

Balloons have been around for centuries but the new modern latex balloon was invented 60 years ago in New England. The foil balloon was developed in the late 1970’s for the NYC ballet. They are made from a metalized nylon.

Latex balloons are produced from the milky sap of the rubber tree. The use of the latex balloons and other rubber products make rubber trees economically valuable, which discourages people from cutting them down and provides a valuable revenue to many third world countries.

The balloon industry world wide requires the latex from 16 million rubber trees, that in total takes up more than 363 million kilograms of CO2 gases annually from the earth’s atmosphere.

Latex is a 100% natural substance that breaks down in both sunlight and water. Research shows that under similar environmental conditions, latex balloons will biodegrade at about the same rate as a leaf from an oak tree.
